What's It About?
We have 8 DORO 5516 phones with three months free calls and texts to give away for FREE to elderly or vulnerable adults who have limited contact through lockdown. We have already donated 3 to Alnwick Infirmary and 1 to a Alnwick resident currently in Berwick infirmary without contact to her family.
We have secured these in partnership with DORO and Gif Gaff Mobile Provider to help elderly and or vulnerable people contact their loved ones during COVID-19.
We will post out, or drop off (from a safe social distance) the phone with them. We will work with you prior to sending the phone to register it to get it working ready for your loved one. We will help them make a call through the window or from a safe distance so they are set up and ready to go.
The phone has an assistance button and there is three months free subscription to Doro's Alarm Receiving Centre, more info on the below images.
We will discuss at our up coming meetings the validity of each request for a phone and donate to the most suitable requests we deem fit, so please include all the details on the form below.
