Alnwick Round Table 🌻 Sunflower Competition 🌻

For years our families have been growing Sunflowers in our gardens with the kids! Now we wanted to help raise some money for charity with some fun involved.
This year we are launching for the first time for Alnwick Round Table, a sunflower competition which will be run over social media, and judged by the number of likes by the public, over social media! |

How it Works....
Online we have 4 types of seeds you can buy. You won't know what type of sunflower seeds are enclosed, but we will..... That's half the fun and lets there be some surprise!
We will post you your seeds, in your coloured envelope, with that colour lolly pop stick which has your entry number on, so you can grow your seedlings and then plant them outdoors. Why not try all 4 colour categories?!
When your flowers are at their best, or your feeling arty with your Instagram and Facebook, post a few pictures online and make sure you tag us with the below hashtags. This lets us see your images and add them to our gallery on Facebook. Make sure you put your entry number on the post as well as tagging Alnwick Round Table! - #alnwickroundtable

How to Plant Them
With Help from www.gardenersworld.com

What You Need....
|

|
Step 1 -
Use a good multipurpose compost to fill 7.5cm pots to 1cm below the rim. Tap each pot to settle the compost and firm gently. |

Step 2 -
Sow one seed per pot – sunflowers germinate reliably and form large seedlings. Poke the seed into the compost. |
|
|
Step 3 -
Cover the sunflower seed with about 1.5cm of compost. Label each pot and water well so that the compost is just moist throughout. |
|
Step 4 -
Plant your sunflowers outside in June when the last frosts are over. Let them grow and start sending us snaps!! #alnwickroundtable |

Rules of Entry
- One entry to a prize winner per purchase per category
- All winner photographs must be sent to Alnwick Round Table
- Winners will be announced on Friday 14th September 2018
- Winner for each category is defined by the most image like's on Alnwick Round Table's Facebook Page
- Unlimited images per entry allowed to be submitted (we recommend no more than 5)
- Alnwick Round Table Chairman's Vote is Final in event of a draw of image likes
- Cheques will be sent to the winners within 5 working days with Fireworks Vouchers
